Luka Doncic has been on a bit of a media tour in the midst of rumors that he had agreed to sign his four-year extension with the Los Angeles Lakers, first appearing on the cover of Men's Health, and most recently, visiting The Bronx to go a Yankees game, where he took photos with players like Aaron Judge and Jazz Chisolm.
The baffling trade that sent Doncic to LA in February sent shockwaves through the NBA, and has been lamented by many as one of the worst trades in the history of professional sports considering what Dallas received for the young superstar. The trade was allegedly centered on Doncic's lack of fitness, something he addressed in the Yankees booth on the live broadcast.
Michael Kay and David Cone, the broadcasters for New York, brought up the photos of Doncic in the magazine, goading the superstar into his thoughts about Dallas.
"You should mail them a copy of the Men’s Health magazine,” Kay said, to which Doncic replied, "They probably saw it. I don’t have to worry about that."

The quote is an indication that Doncic has not forgotten how the Mavericks front office handled the situation, trashing the five-time All-NBA performer on his way out and creating an enemy for life. Considering how good Doncic was in his return to Dallas, it seems that he will do anything in his power to beat the Mavericks whenever they play against each other.
Doncic averaged 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.5 assists over 28 regular-season games with LA last year, and 30.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.8 assists over five playoff games.
