Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James not only became the oldest player to have a 20-point triple-double on Tuesday, but he also climbed the NBA record books with his performance against the Washington Wizards.
James recorded 21 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists to lead the Lakers to a 111-88 victory over the Wizards. He also tallied two steals and a block, proving that his two-way ability is still there despite his age.
In the process, the Lakers forward also surpassed Chicago Bulls icon Scottie Pippen for the seventh spot on the all-time steals list with 2,309. Entering the game, James was tied with Pippen at 2,307 steals each.
The Lakers announced James' accomplishment during the game, writing on social media, "Bron passes Scottie Pippen for 7th place all-time steals in NBA history."

The NBA also congratulated LeBron James for the achievement, saying, "Congrats to @kingjames of the @lakers for moving to 7th all-time in STEALS!"
Interestingly, James could climb the all-time steals list further when he and the Lakers return to action on Thursday against the Boston Celtics. He only needs two more steals to claim the sixth spot from Maurice Cheeks, who had 2,310 steals in his career.
After that, however, cracking the Top 5 might be difficult since Gary Payton sits at No. 5 with 2,445 steals.
