Another player might not be ready for the NBA’s resumed season after testing positive for the coronavirus.
Los Angeles Clippers guard Landry Shamet tested positive for COVID-19, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. Subsequently, he is unlikely to travel to Orlando this week to join his teammates for workouts.

The good news is Shamet has time to get healthy and still has a chance to eventually play in Orlando. The Clippers are still roughly four weeks from playing a meaningful game. To do that, Shamet will need to test negative twice before being cleared to be around his teammates or anyone else.
Other players who have recently tested positive have raised doubts about playing at all in Orlando, but there is no indication at this point that Shamet is considering skipping Orlando entirely.
Shamet is a key part of one of the leading NBA title contenders. The 23-year-old is averaging 9.7 points per game in 47 contests, 27 of them starts.
