NBA Legend Sends Message to Tim Duncan After Latest Appearance

The San Antonio Spurs were able to celebrate a special moment in franchise history recently, as rookie guard Stephon Castle became the fourth player in Spurs history to win the prestigious Rookie of the Year honor. The fourth overall pick out of UConn, Castle made a major push for the award after injuries opened up opportunities for him.

To celebrate Castle, the organization brought together the other three Rookie of the Year winners to join him. In doing so, they took a picture of all four of them together, those being Castle as well as Tim Duncan, David Robinson, and Victor Wembanyama. Seeing the post, Duncan's former teammate took time to tease him in the replies.

"'Teeny Tiny Timmy' ," Spurs legend Manu Ginobili replied in reaction to the photo. While Wembanyama towering over everyone is no surprise, the photo makes the 6-foot-11 Duncan look small when standing next to everyone. Even though he does look taller than Castle, it doesn't seem by much with Castle's height listed at 6-foot-6.

Ginobili is listed as the same height as Castle, but the Spurs rookie has a long way to becoming as accomplished as the Argentine legend. A 2022 NBA Hall of Fame inductee, Ginobili won four rings with the Spurs, known for his crafty left hand.

Now with back-to-back Rookie of the Year winners on the roster, the Spurs will have high hopes going into next season with another lottery pick expected to join the team this upcoming draft. The Spurs will learn their exact position on May 12th, during the NBA Draft Lottery.

Jalen Brunson Reacts To New York Knicks Signing 11-Year NBA Veteran

Jordan Clarkson has been an extremely productive scorer over his 11 NBA seasons. He finished last year (with the Utah Jazz) averaging 16.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest while shooting 40.8% from the field and 36.2% from the three-point range in 37 games. This summer, Clarkson signed a deal with the New York Knicks. Recently, Jalen Brunson spoke about the signing (via Roommates Show). Brunson: "I know him. Talked to him for a little bit. Good dude. Surrounds himself with good people that I know. A great addition for us, for sure." Clarkson was the 46th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. For being such a late selection, he has done an excellent job of carving out a long career. Over the previous 11 seasons, the 33-year-old has also spent time with the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers. Clarkson won the 2021 6th Man of The Year Award (with Utah). He has career averages of 16.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per contest while shooting 43.6% from the field and 33.6% from the three-point range in 753 games. Steelers Teammates Are Noticing Great Differences From Aaron Rodgers: 'A Guy That's Bought In'

The Pittsburgh Steelers have an interesting quarterback situation that has been monitored by NFL fans throughout the 2025 offseason. The organization was in pursuit of four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers for over three months, and the quarterback finally signed a one-year deal. He was then in Pittsburgh for mandatory minicamp. He is the unquestioned starter heading into the 2025 season, and he is coming off of a quietly good season with the New York Jets in 2024 statistically. He was bouncing back from a serious injury, so it should be expected for him to play even better in 2025. Rodgers got better as the 2024 season went along after missing all of 2023, and he is now further removed from his Achilles injury. He has a decent amount of weapons on Pittsburgh's offense, and the team is expected to rely on its run game and defense once again. Rodgers won't be asked to do too much, which should be a recipe for success for the 41-year old quarterback. Will Howard spoke to the media in Latrobe, PA on Thursday morning, and he had nothing but great things to say about the starting quarterback for Pittsburgh. The 41-year old has been heavily criticized in the media in the past for being a bad teammate, but every report that has come out of Pittsburgh has suggested otherwise. Rodgers has already expressed his willingness to mentor Howard and show him the ropes as he goes through his rookie season, which is something that has gotten a lot of the fan base in Pittsburgh excited about the addition of Rodgers. Rodgers has always been misunderstood throughout his career. He has been blamed for countless things that simply weren't his fault. It seemed that everything that went wrong with the Jets was somehow because of the quarterback, despite the fact that the Jets organization has been one of the worst in all of sports over the last decade or so. The fan base in Pittsburgh was frustrated with the way Rodgers handled his free agency, as he seemed to drag out his signing with Pittsburgh. The quarterback said he was dealing with some things in his personal life that made him want to take his time, which some fans took issue with. After these new comments from Howard, the fans should completely flip in their opinions on Rodgers. He is approaching this job with the Steelers in a positive manner, he is bought in, and he is helping the younger guys on the roster. Steelers’ Offense Has A Chance To Be The Best Its Been With Aaron Rodgers The offense in Pittsburgh has been inconsistent, and sometimes absolutely stagnant in recent years. The run game has fallen apart at times, and the quarterback play has been abysmal on occasion. That shouldn't be the case in 2025, as Rodgers' experience and talent should be able to take the unit to the next level, especially if the offensive line can take a step forward. This will open up the run game, which will only help the offense as a whole. Rodgers will have an absolute animal to throw to on the outside in DK Metcalf, as well as some speedsters in Calvin Austin III and Roman Wilson. Pittsburgh also rosters one of the best tight end rooms in the league with Pat Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith, and Darnell Washington. Rodgers will be able to end his career on a high note with these weapons, and the near-decade long draught of playoff success could come to a close.

Sunderland Already Have a Granit Xhaka Alternative, and Chelsea Won’t Like It

As of now, Granit Xhaka's signing for Sunderland has not been made official, and it appears the Black Cats' alternative is Napoli's Frank Zambo Anguissa, who is also a target for Chelsea. While BILD compiled statements from Simon Rolfes, Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting director, and Erik ten Hag, the German club’s manager, both hinting that they do not want to let their midfielder go, other reports are more optimistic. Florian Plettenberg claims that Xhaka (32) has already reached an agreement with Sunderland on a contract until 2028, and it’s now just a matter of both clubs finalizing the transfer fee. However, if the signing does not materialize, the Black Cats have another alternative, who is also a target for Chelsea. We’re talking specifically about Napoli’s Frank Zambo Anguissa (29). Sunderland already have a Granit Xhaka alternative, and Chelsea won’t like it A few days ago, Fabrizio Romano reported Sunderland had contacted the agents of the former Fulham midfielder to discuss a potential move to the Stadium of Light. Now, with these conflicting reports about Xhaka’s possible signing, Anguissa’s name should be gaining more relevance in the Black Cats’ sporting direction. In fact, even BILD now sees the Swiss midfielder’s move to Sunderland as complicated, as a recent report stated that the English club does not intend to increase its offer for the 32-year-old player, which stands at around €10m. The aforementioned outlet indicates that Bayer are demanding at least €20m, so his arrival at Regis Le Bris’ team "is currently considered highly unlikely." Either way, nothing is straightforward in the transfer window, and precisely Sunderland’s alternative to Xhaka, Anguissa, is also a target for Chelsea. A few weeks ago, Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the Napoli midfielder had an important offer from Chelsea. So, the saga continues. Read More:

Canucks continue talks with Jack Roslovic, his ask poses problems

A team that has gone through several changes already this summer, the Vancouver Canucks remain active, currently engaged in discussions with unrestricted free agent forward Jack Roslovic. According to reports from Rick Dhaliwal and Cam Robinson, the organization has spoken to Roslovic on several occasions and are still interested in potentially signing him to a free agency deal. Roslovic posted 39 points in 81 games for the Carolina Hurricanes in 2024-25. He is reportedly seeking a two- or three-year deal worth just over $3 million annually. Roslovic could be a solid middle-six contributor for an NHL team, but there is some concern over whether he’s a needle mover. He could be a solution for Canucks, who need a true third-line center, but some wonder if he’s the best place to be using the little cap flexibility Vancouver has. A Roslovic signing would take up much of the $3.2 million available to add to the roster. Can the Canucks work the math out on Roslovic? At this stage of free agency, it’s about finding value in overlooked talent. Roslovic likely won’t be a dynamic top producer, but he has value. The question is if Vancouver can make the math work. He could provide reliable depth scoring, but is that where the money should go? Some believe the Canucks would be better served by taking a bigger swing. On his own, Roslovic likely doesn’t move the Canucks into contender status.
