Less than a week after Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo hinted he was reconsidering his decision to opt-out of participating in the NBA restart conducted amid the coronavirus pandemic, Indiana head coach Nate McMillan said he expects the 28-year-old will play in team scrimmages that begin later this week.

Oladipo suffered a ruptured quadriceps tendon in January 2019 and remained out of action until this past January. He featured in only 13 games before the Association halted play on March 11 due to the uncontrolled virus outbreak.
Earlier this month, Oladipo elected to sit the restart out as he worked to return to full fitness. He traveled to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex bubble site, however, and he's been preparing as if he will be available when the Pacers tip-off against the Philadelphia 76ers on Aug. 1.
As noted by ESPN's Eric Woodyard, the Pacers will face the Portland Trail Blazers in a scrimmage on Thursday.
