Pacers rookie guard Kam Jones was arrested early Monday morning following a brief chase on Interstate 65 in Indianapolis, according to Mike Potter of WTHR-13 News.

Indiana State Police said a trooper attempted to pull over Jones for alleged erratic driving on the southbound side of I-65. Jones reportedly failed to stop, leading officers on a short pursuit that ended near the Fletcher Avenue exit close to Fountain Square.

As of Monday afternoon, Jones was being held in Marion County Jail on preliminary charges of reckless driving and resisting law enforcement.

The Pacers released a statement acknowledging the situation:

“We are aware of the situation involving Kam Jones,” it read. “We are in the process of gathering additional information and will not have any additional comment on the matter at this time.”

Jones, the No. 38 overall pick in June’s draft, signed a standard contract in July but missed much of training camp with a back injury. He’s expected to be reevaluated next month.

The 6-foot-5 guard spent four seasons at Marquette, where he became a consensus second-team All-American and All-Big East first-teamer in 2025, averaging 19.2 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game as a senior.
