Raptors Injury News: Ja’Kobe Walter available for Game 3

Despite being a late addition to Wednesday’s injury list, Ja’Kobe Walter is good to go for tonight’s Game 3 at Scotiabank Arena, as per Michael Grange.

Walter was one of the three bench players (along with Mamu and CMB) who was a bright spot in Game 2. Walter went 3-for-7 from downtown that game and stood out defensively.

“His defence was also one of Toronto’s best weapons on that end. At one point, he found himself guarding Evan Mobley — dominant to that point in the game — in isolation on the wing. Mobley drove, only for Walter to easily strip the ball out of bounds with almost no time remaining on the clock.”

In the most recent Bald Don’t Lie podcast, Zatzman emphasized Walter’s solid screen-setting (26:00). He can roll or pop out of screens, and him screening Ingram could potentially help the latter score or attack mismatches in Game 3.

Ingram will be looking to redeem himself after a seven-point performance on 3-for-15 shooting. Yesterday, Darko Rajakovic re-assured the media about Ingram’s commitment to winning, and how “people are trying to create a narrative that’s not there.”
