The Oklahoma City Thunder took down the Phoenix Suns 121-109 on Saturday to take a commanding 3-0 series advantage.
The opening quarter started out slowly for the Thunder, who were without Jalen Williams. Devin Booker and the Suns were able to jump out to a small lead early, but it was short-lived.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander helped OKC recover well and finish the first quarter with a five-point lead. While the Suns played a strong game, they had a slight disadvantage in nearly every metric by the end of the battle.
Phoenix attempted several times to make a comeback, but the Thunder’s defense proved to be too much. Phoenix never regained the lead and the Thunder took the win.
Gilgeous-Alexander was the offensive engine for OKC, dropping a playoff career-high 42 points as well as eight assists while shooting 15-of-18 from the floor.
For the Suns, Dillon Brooks had 33 points and seven rebounds while Jalen Green put up 26 points, five rebounds and six assists.
