Shaquille O'Neal has demonstrated time and time again that he's one of the coolest NBA legends out there. The 4-time NBA champion has gotten used to making big gestures to the less fortunate and people who are struggling to pay for important things to continue with their lives.

He has paid for a man's engagement ring, while also buying furniture for a mom whose house was burned to the ground. The Big Diesel is really a cool person that doesn't hesitate to help people in need. He's also ready to help those that helped him first, and one of the biggest stories regarding Shaq's generosity involves one of the first people that helped him when he was growing up.

When he was a teenager, Shaq had a hard time trying to find shoes his size, until he heard about one man that could help him with his problem. That's when he met Bruce Teilhaber of Friedman’s Shoes in Atlanta. Mr. Teilhaber was very kind to young Shaq, gifting him a pair of shoes for free to attend prom.

After that, vowed to never forget what Bruce did for him, and has repaid the veteran salesman by buying over 2,000 pairs of shoes during his life. It seems like whenever he visits the store, Shaq must leave with several shoes or he won't be happy.

This is not PJ Tucker's level, but Shaq is always excited to see what new creations Bruce has for him. He once helped a young boy that was in the same situation, buying him 10 pairs of super-sized shoes.

O'Neal won't stop doing this and whenever he does it, it's so cool to see it. He's helping the man that helped him at a young age and doesn't hesitate to link others with Bruce. Shaq is a real one.
