Suns star Chris Paul the betting favorite to be named NBA Finals MVP

Chris Paul has been one of the Phoenix Suns' most impressive players this postseason. Because of that, he has pretty solid odds to win the NBA Finals MVP award.

According to BetOnline.ag, Paul is the favorite to be named Finals MVP at +140. Devin Booker is second at +220.

Here are the full odds:

  1. Chris Paul +140
  2. Devin Booker +220
  3. Giannis Antetokounmpo +350
  4. Khris Middleton +550
  5. Jrue Holiday +900
  6. Deandre Ayton +2800
  7. Brook Lopez +5000

This postseason, Paul has played through torn ligaments in his hand and a nerve issue in his shoulder. He also missed time after testing positive for COVID-19. Despite the ailments, he's averaging 18.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game while shooting 47% from the field and 40.5% from deep.

One of his best performances came in the Suns' series-clinching Game 6 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference finals. The 11-time All-Star scored 41 points to go along with four rebounds and eight assists in the 130-103 win.

Paul is set to compete in the NBA Finals for the first time in his 16-year career. He'll have to elevate his game even further if the Suns want to take down Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.
