The 25 best teammates from Kevin Durant's career

Kevin Durant has been one of the most consistently potent offensive weapons in the history of basketball. He has enjoyed personal success, like an MVP trophy and a pair of Finals MVP honors. KD couldn't have done any of it without his teammates, though, so these are the best ones with whom he's shared the court.

Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry
Cary Edmondson/Imagn

It's hard to find a stronger one-two offensive punch than Curry and KD. The pair won two titles together and were able to share the floor despite both being volume scorers. The gravity of both players allowed the other freedom to operate with and without the ball.

Russell Westbrook
Matthew Emmons/Imagn

Going up against Russ and Durant was scary during their OKC run. In the 2015 season, for example, they averaged 28 and 25 points per game, respectively. They never ended up getting over the hump and winning a title together, but they were undoubtedly one of the most explosive duos of the era.

3 of 25

James Harden

James Harden
Jennifer Stewart/Imagn

After leaving the Thunder, Harden went on to be an MVP and a multi-time scoring leader. While still in OKC, though, he was one of the league's most promising young players. He thrived in his bench role, winning the Sixth Man Of The Year award in 2012, his final season with the Thunder. Harden and KD also briefly reunited in Brooklyn.

Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Irving
Geoff Burke/Imagn

Durant's time with the Nets didn't work out as he had hoped, as the team failed to reach the Conference Finals during his two postseasons there. They didn't even get a win in their 2022 first-round series against the Celtics. Kyrie, though, was playing at a high level, averaging about 27 points and 6 assists for the team.

5 of 25

Devin Booker

Devin Booker
Mark J. Rebilas/Imagn

Things went even worse for Durant in Phoenix, where he failed to even make the playoffs in 2025. Booker, though, was about as potent an offense asset as Durant has ever had. In an All-Star year in 2024, Booker put up 27 points and 7 assists per night.

6 of 25

Klay Thompson

Klay Thompson
Troy Taormina/Imagn

In terms of third wheels, Klay is as good as they get. He routinely handled tough defensive assignments, but of course, he's also one of the best shooters ever. His off-ball movement also left defenses frazzled, creating scoring opportunities for himself and others.

7 of 25

Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal
Mark J. Rebilas/Imagn

The Suns' "Big Three" of Durant, Booker, and Beal never really took off, thanks in part to injuries. It was a promising trio, though, as Beal was a 30-per-game scorer just a few seasons earlier. Beal and KD ultimately didn't share the floor as much as they would have hoped, but Beal was another All-Star teammate for KD's resume nonetheless.

8 of 25

Draymond Green

Draymond Green
Sergio Estrada/Imagn

Charles Barkley famously roasted Draymond for his "triple-singles," but those figures are impactful when they're hovering around 6 to 9 points, rebounds, and assists a night. Green has ultimately been the backbone of the Warriors' dynasty, with his toughness and all-around contributions complementing the team's offensive stars. Ultimately, KD might not have won those two titles without Draymond.

9 of 25

Andre Iguodala

Andre Iguodala
Dale Zanine/Imagn

Iguodala was a perfect glue guy for the title-winning Warriors, doing whatever was needed of him in any given moment. He excelled in the role so much that it won him a Finals MVP trophy in 2015. His leadership and defensive abilities were a major key to the team's success.

10 of 25

Serge Ibaka

Serge Ibaka
Jennifer Stewart/Imagn

Ibaka was a constant for Durant in OKC, as the two appeared in over 500 games together. During his prime, Ibaka was one of the league's most threatening rim protectors. OKC never got the big championship win, but Ibaka was a key to the team making the Finals in 2012.

11 of 25

Steven Adams

Steven Adams
David Richard/Imagn

Adams arrived in OKC during the final few years of Durant's time there. During their overlap, though, he was a reliable big alongside Ibaka. Known as one of the NBA's strongest players, Adams' defense was invaluable to the team's success.

12 of 25

Shaun Livingston

Shaun Livingston
Tom Szczerbowski/Imagn

After injuries compromised his once promising career, Livingston found an NBA home with the Warriors, where he became a threatening point guard off the bench. At 6'7" and with a lethal mid-range game, he was tough to guard and was capable of changing the pace of a game.

13 of 25

Jeff Green

Jeff Green
Brett Davis/Imagn

After trading Ray Allen for a package that included rookie Jeff Green, he and KD were the Thunder's two hot rookies, both drafted in the top 5. Green never became the star some thought he would, but he was nonetheless solid for OKC, averaging 16 points per game in his sophomore season. The two briefly reunited in Brooklyn during the 2021 season, at which point Green had become a reliable role player.

14 of 25

Thabo Sefolosha

Thabo Sefolosha
Brace Hemmelgarn/Imagn

Sefolosha was a lock-down defender, routinely handling the toughest defensive assignments. He wasn't a big-time scorer, but he was prone to hitting some timely threes. He was a critical starter during the Thunder's 2012 Finals run.

15 of 25

Reggie Jackson

Reggie Jackson
Mark J. Rebilas/Imagn

After a pair of pedestrian first seasons, Jackson got a chance to shine in a more prominent role with the Thunder in his third year, proving to be a sparkplug off the bench. Jackson went on to greater personal success as a starter for other teams, but it was in OKC that he first got to show is offensive promise.

16 of 25

Nick Collison

Nick Collison
Mark J. Rebilas/Imagn

Collison, nicknamed "Mr. Thunder," is Durant's most tenured teammate, as the two played 657 games together. He was a reliable big lauded for his loyalty and professionalism. Collison's contributions weren't fully reflected on the stat sheet, but he was just decimal points away from averaging a double-double in points and rebounds for the 2008 season, Durant's rookie campaign.

17 of 25

Joe Harris

Joe Harris
Wendell Cruz/Imagn

KD no longer had Steph and Klay by his side when he went to Brooklyn after his run in Golden State. But, he did have another standout shooter in Joe Harris, who led the league in 3-point percentage in Durant's first season with the team, shooting 47.5%. The spacing he provided was key in giving Durant, Harden, and Irving room to operate.

18 of 25

Kevon Looney

Kevon Looney
Cary Edmondson/Imagn

Looney's stats don't jump off the page, but he has proven to be a reliable backup big, evidenced by the fact that the Warriors have kept him around for a decade. Standing at 6'9" and with the ability to defend multiple positions, Looney is a solid small-ball center during the 2018 championship run.

19 of 25

Grayson Allen

Grayson Allen
Vincent Carchietta/Imagn

After short stints with a few different teams, Allen found his biggest NBA role yet in Phoenix. He averaged 13 points a game in 2024 and routinely had 20-point and 30-point nights that powered the Suns to victory. He also had a level of toughness and grit that gave him additional value.

20 of 25

Bruce Brown

Bruce Brown
Brad Penner/Imagn

Brown won a title with the Nuggets in 2023, but before that, he showed off his glue guy capabilities alongside Durant in Brooklyn. At 6'4", he was relatively undersized for a forward, but he still had valuable versatility on defense. His hustle plays were another opportunity for Brown to provide a jolt.

21 of 25

Dion Waiters

Dion Waiters
Mark J. Rebilas/Imagn

Waiters and Durant crossed paths only briefly, spending a season-and-a-half together. While he wasn't the most consistent, he did has flashes of brilliance, including some big scoring nights on postseason wins.

22 of 25

Kendrick Perkins

Kendrick Perkins
Kim Klement/Imagn

Durant has called Perkins his favorite teammate due in part to the relationship they developed off the court. Perkins saw his on-court role decrease as his time with the Thunder progressed, but he always provided some much-needed muscle. His veteran leadership, as illustrated by the personal impact he had on Durant, was also invaluable.

23 of 25

Blake Griffin

Blake Griffin
Bruce Kluckhohn/Imagn

Towards the end of his playing days, Griffin, once an All-Star and one of the league's most exciting players, accepted smaller veteran roles. Every now and then in Brooklyn, there would be flashes of Griffin's younger days with big dunks or big scoring nights. He was especially valuable in the 2021 second-round playoff series against the Bucks, where he played significant minutes and had multiple double-doubles.

24 of 25

Nazr Mohammed

Nazr Mohammed
Mark J. Rebilas/Imagn

Mohammed was never a standout player, but he was clearly doing something right as he enjoyed an 18-year NBA career. A portion of that time was spent with OKC, where he served as a backup big. He made an impression on Durant, as KD later called him the "nicest" teammate he's ever had.

25 of 25

Nenad Krstić

Nenad Krstić
Kyle Terada/Imagn

Krstić showed promise during his stint in New Jersey, including a season where he averaged 16 points and 7 rebounds. He had flashes of that in OKC, too, like in his first year with the team, 2009, when he averaged 9 and 5. He wasn't an exemplary defender, but his occasional 20-point games were welcomed.
