The Timberwolves announced that star guard Anthony Edwards is considered week-to-week after an MRI revealed a left knee hyperextension and bone bruise.
The update confirms earlier reporting that Edwards is expected to miss multiple weeks. Minnesota currently holds a 3-1 lead in its first-round series against the Nuggets.
Edwards sustained the injury late in the second quarter of Game 4 while contesting a shot. He landed awkwardly, and his left knee appeared to buckle on impact. He remained on the floor briefly while grabbing at the knee.
The injury adds to what has already been a challenging stretch physically for Edwards, who entered the postseason managing a lingering right knee issue that sidelined him late in the regular season.
Through four playoff games, Edwards averaged 18.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists, though he struggled with efficiency, shooting 35.8 percent from the field and 25.8 percent from three-point range.

Minnesota is also without starting guard Donte DiVincenzo, who suffered a torn right Achilles tendon earlier in Game 4.
With both Edwards and DiVincenzo sidelined, the Timberwolves are expected to lean more heavily on Ayo Dosunmu, along with veterans Mike Conley and Bones Hyland, as well as rookie Terrence Shannon Jr.
If Minnesota advances, Edwards is expected to attempt a return at some point during the second round.
