Tyler Herro Drops 'Historic' Praise For Cavs After Heat Loss

It is no secret that the Cleveland Cavaliers have been on an absolute tear for the 2024-25 season. They carried their momentum in the NBA Playoffs, and it looks like the Miami Heat, led by Coach Erik Spoelstra, Bam Adebayo, and Tyler Herro, will be on the short end of the stick.

With all of that said, the Heat have a lot to learn and will need to change up their schemes to keep their NBA Playoffs hopes alive. Tyler Herro posits that the Cavs' Game 1 offense was just something else.

He even lauds Coach Kenny Atkinson for forming an insane scheme that  has not been seen in league history yet, via Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald.

“They’re a historically good offense. Obviously, they’re No. 1 in the East for a reason," Herro said.

The Heat were nowhere close to winning the first game of this series due to the insane mind of the NBA Coach of the Year. However, Herro knows that there are things that they could control, such that the tides change in their favor.

"I think we lacked a lot of communication, just mental errors that we can cover up. I think, obviously, the two days in between will give us time to watch film, have practice, and then clean up the things we need to clean up," he added.

There was not a single major statistical category — rebounds, steals, field goal percentage, turnovers, and fouls — that they won. Coach Erik Spoelstra is not new to making these tough adjustments. Will he be able to utilize the Bam Adebayo-led squad properly to mount an unlikely upset of the Cavs?
