Victor Wembanyama official height revealed by Spurs

Victor Wembanyama is already a very tall man. He's only getting taller.

Last October, Wembanyama told commentators during a preseason game in 2022 that he measured at 7-foot-3 barefoot for the Metropolitan 92. According to his latest measurement by the Spurs, he's grown by a half-inch.

Per ESPN, his official height makes him the second-tallest player in the NBA, a half-inch shorter than Boban Marjanovic (7-foot-4) and a half-inch taller than Kristaps Porzingis.

Wembanyama was drafted No. 1 overall by San Antonio last week during the 2023 NBA Draft and reminded everyone how tall he is when he went to dinner with legendary Spurs bigs David Robinson and Tim Duncan and made them look like horse jockeys.

Wembanyama, 19, might have more growing to do but his most important growth will be as an NBA player. All signs point to that not taking long. He's in a fantastic spot with the incredibly stable Spurs organization. And after his dinner with Duncan and Robinson, Wembanyama told reporters that he learned a remarkable amount about the NBA from the Hall of Famers.

"Probably in a couple hours, I learned more about the NBA than my whole life before that," he said.

San Antonio will get its first look at Wembanyama at the "NBA 2K24" Summer League in Las Vegas from July 8-17 after the team announced he wouldn't suit up for its appearance at the California Classic Summer League games held in Sacramento on July 3 and 5.

Earlier this week, Wembanyama announced his decision to forgo the FIBA World Cup this August and September as he focuses on his first NBA season.

Expectations are high for the one-of-a-kind star, and just like Wembanyama, they're still growing.
