Walker Kessler NBA 2K27 Rating Revealed

With how popular the NBA 2K video game series is, one of the most anticipated times every year is when player ratings are revealed. While some don’t care, many players take their ratings seriously and if they feel it is too low, want to know why. Ratings for the top 100 players in the newest game in the series NBA 2K27 are now being revealed new Los Angeles Lakers center Walker Kessler just cracked that list.

Kessler is actually at number 100, coming in with an 81 rating overall, one point down from last year’s 82 rating, via NBA 2K on X:

With Kessler playing just five games last season due to injury, his rating dipping just a little bit makes some sense. But that does not take away from the impact he is expecting to make on the Lakers this season and if he plays well enough, that rating will undoubtedly climb.

Acquiring Kessler in a sign-and-trade with the Utah Jazz and signing him to a four-year, $130 million contract was the biggest move the Lakers made this offseason. The franchise believes Kessler is the ideal big man to pair with their backcourt duo of Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves and he will be the anchor of the defense as well. 2K Games believes in his shot blocking ability as well as he actually has a 93 blocks rating, one of the best in the league.

Kessler’s ability to protect the rim, dominate the glass, and finish strong in the paint will be crucial to his success with his new team. The Lakers invested a lot in order to get him over from Utah and the pressure will be on him to deliver as the Lakers are trying to push themselves closer to championship contention and Kessler is a big factor in that.

Having a good rating in 2K is a nice start, but both Kessler and the Lakers are focused on what he does in the real games.

Collin Sexton excited to reunite with Walker Kessler on Lakers

There is a familiar face for Kesler joining the Lakers this season as well as the team signed point guard Collin Sexton to a two-year contract. Both Sexton and Kessler are from the state of Georgia and were teammates with the Utah Jazz and Sexton is looking forward to teaming with him once again for the purple and gold.
