Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans is continuing his terrific season at the  NBA Rising Stars basketball game at United Center in Chicago. Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Ja Morant and Zion Williamson started making highlight plays together in AAU ball. Now that they’re back on the court as teammates in the Rising Stars Challenge, the star rookies are connecting once more to create incredible magic with absurd dunks.

It didn’t take long on Friday for Morant to look toward his old teammate. As soon as he saw Zion find some clearance, he fired an alley-oop pass from beyond halfcourt and Zion threw it down with an emphatic finish.

The Rising Stars Challenge is quickly providing some incredible highlights for basketball fans. While it’s the first time Morant and Zion have played together in years, the connection between the two is stronger than ever. While we certainly wish we could see these two play together on the same NBA team, at least two fan bases get to enjoy two incredible players with bright futures.
