Victor Wembanyama didn’t just return—he made a statement.
After missing Game 3 while in concussion protocol, Wemby was back on the floor for Game 4 and didn’t hide his frustration with how the process played out. Despite being cleared, he made it clear he wasn’t thrilled with how long it took to get back, adding another layer to a night where he completely took over the game late. That edge showed.

And so did his impact.
The Spurs erased a 19-point deficit and dominated the second half, blowing out the Trail Blazers 114-93 to take a 3-1 series lead. It was a game that flipped entirely once Wembanyama settled in—and once San Antonio remembered who they are.
Wembanyama finished with 27 points, 12 rebounds, and seven blocks, anchoring a defense that suffocated Portland after halftime. His presence alone changed everything. Shots that were falling early for the Blazers suddenly weren’t even getting clean looks.
But it wasn’t just Wemby.
De’Aaron Fox delivered like a star, leading all scorers with 28 points while controlling the pace and attacking downhill whenever the Spurs needed a bucket. Stephon Castle added 16 points and eight assists, continuing to prove he belongs in big playoff moments.
Portland had control early. Deni Avdija (26 points) and Jrue Holiday (20 points) led a strong first half, and the Blazers looked poised to even the series. Then everything collapsed.
San Antonio outscored Portland 73-35 in the second half. That’s not a run—that’s a takeover.
Scoot Henderson going scoreless on 0-for-7 shooting summed up the night. The Spurs’ defense tightened, their energy picked up, and the Blazers had no answer once momentum shifted.
Now the series heads back to San Antonio with the Spurs up 3-1 and fully in control. And if Wembanyama is playing like this—with something to prove and a little frustration behind it—this might already be over.
