3 Philadelphia Eagles Trade Candidates Entering Training Camp

Tanner McKee is almost a lock to be traded by week one. The backup QB is entering a contract year in which the Eagles have no intentions of re-signing him at the price it’s expected to cost.

Andy Dalton was acquired early in the offseason and is expected to be Jalen Hurts’ primary backup for the 2026 season.

Cole Payton was drafted in the 2026 NFL draft. The rookie should have a spot on the roster as the third-string QB once McKee is moved.

McKee does have some value around the league. It’s been rumored that Howie Roseman has been looking for a second-round pick in exchange for the backup. Now, it’ll likely be a third or fourth rounder in return.

Kelee Ringo

Kelee Ringo needs a very good camp to enter the 2026 season on the Eagles roster.

Ringo has been a very good special teamer throughout his years on the Eagles, but that’s not why he was drafted. Everyone knew he was going to be a project, but it’s just gone on for too long.

It would be difficult to cut Ringo due to his age and “potential”, but that may be the eventual result if they can’t find a trade partner. His value is likely a fifth-round pick or later, if he is able to be traded.

Hollywood Brown

Hollywood Brown was originally signed to be the WR2 once AJ Brown was traded. Now, who knows where he ends up on the Eagles’ depth chart.

Rookie Makai Lemon is expected to be the WR2 behind Devonta Smith. After that, Hollywood will be in a battle with Dontayvion Wicks for the WR3 spot. If he can’t win that battle, cutting ties may make sense with the veteran.

Brown’s trade value could fluctuate depending on what happens around the NFL. If there’s an injury and a team needs to make a late move at receiver, his return could be greater. Now, it’s best to expect a late-rounder in return.
