3 potential offensive line combinations the Lions can go with in 2025 after Frank Ragnow's retirement

Welp, who would have thought we'd be here at this point, right? The Detroit Lions just lost a big piece of their offensive line with the retirement of Frank Ragnow.

Well, it happened, and now we all have to move on and see what the Lions do next. Taking a look at the roster, there are some potential replacements already signed. Here are three different combinations of what the line could look like in 2025:

Option 1

LT: Taylor Decker
LG: Christian Mahogany
C: Graham Glasgow
RG: Tate Ratledge
RT: Penei Sewell

Off the jump, we go with the guy who has filled in for Ragnow when he's been hurt in the past. Glasgow can play center somewhat well, but he's obviously much better at guard. This move would allow the Lions to bring on both their young guards of the future and see what they can do.

Option 2

LT: Taylor Decker
LG: Christian Mahogany
C: Tate Ratedge
RG: Graham Glasgow
RT Penei Sewell

The Lions have already been cross-training Ratledge at center since rookie minicamp, and it makes sense that they could see him as their center of the future, but do they want to jump into that right now? If so, it might be helpful to have both Glasgow and Mahogany be strong contributors in the guard spots to help pick up any slack he might get while growing into the position.

Option 3

LT: Taylor Decker
LG: Christian Mahogany
C: Kingsley Eguakuun
RG: Tate Ratledge
RT: Penei Sewell

The Lions do have a center on the roster right now in Eguakun. He was an undrafted free agent last year, and there was some thought that he might make it onto he 53-man roster last summer. Ultimately, he was a practice squad guy. This is a big summer for him to show what he can do.

This might be the riskiest combo because it's also the youngest and most inexperienced combo NFL-wise. But if they build together for a while, maybe that helps.
