Aaron Rodgers reveals bizarre remedy for Achilles injury
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (8) Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

Aaron Rodgers is known for using any method possible to try and heal his body.

Over the past couple of years, he has revealed his use of many alternative methods of taking care of his physique. Today, he took it to another level.

In his first appearance since the Achilles injury on "The Pat McAfee Show," Rodgers revealed his new secret weapon in the healing process, the love-making sounds of dolphins.

Aaron Rodgers using dolphins to help heal injury

Your eyes aren’t deceiving you. This is a real thing that he talked about on national television. Here is the full quote.

“I’m looking into a number of modalities. There are ideas that some of the noises from the dolphins when they love-make — the frequency of that is actually healing to the body.”

Rodgers has made it clear that he plans to come back and is using any means necessary in order to heal his injury. An Achilles injury at his age leads to a murky future. The research on the injury for someone his age isn’t conclusive.

No one his age has attempted a comeback like this. However, Rodgers seems determined to get back on the field and go out on his own terms and is going to use any means necessary, including the noises that dolphins make while mating, to make it happen.

Hoping he makes it back

All joking aside, Jets fans and most of the NFL world hope he makes it back on the field at some point. This is not how he should go out of the league after a storied, Hall-of-Fame career. While his remedies may be strange, there is no denying that he is a great player and deserves one last ride. One thing is clear: he is determined to get back on the field.

“Give me the doubts. Give me the timetables. Give me all the things that you think can, should, or will happen.

“Because all I need is that one little extra percent of inspiration. That’s all I need. So give me your timetables. Give me your doubts. Give me your prognostications.

“And then watch what I do.”

The Achilles injury recovery is long and grueling but Rodgers seems to be up to the task.

Rodgers will likely have plenty of time to listen to the sound of dolphins in his recovery. Expect him to make more appearances on "The Pat McAfee Show" as well.
