The Buccaneers were in a scoring drought for the entire second half in Houston. That is until Baker Mayfield started to bake. After the Texans took a 19-14 lead with a late score, Tampa Bay’s offense – already battered by injuries to both tackles – struggled to find its footing. But in true Baker Mayfield fashion, the Bucs rallied with just enough production in the final two minutes to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Mayfield made some big plays when it mattered most. Despite taking some brutal hits and struggling to get up a couple times, Mayfield kept the Bucs alive with a crucial fourth-and-10 scramble in the final two minutes. He followed that up with a game-winning drive, setting up Rachaad White’s 2-yard touchdown run with just 6 seconds left on the clock. The dramatic finish gave Tampa Bay a thrilling 20-19 victory over the Texans.

Mayfield finished the game 25-of-38 for 215 yards and 2 touchdowns, capping off his performance with a game-winning drive.

Mayfield’s clutch performance last week led the Buccaneers to victory, throwing a game-winning touchdown pass in the final minute against the Atlanta Falcons. This win puts Tampa Bay at 2-0, with Mayfield making all the difference. The Buccaneers won 23-20, thanks to Mayfield’s 17-of-32 passing for 167 yards and three touchdowns, including the decisive score to Emeka Egbuka
