Newsflash, the Bears are back.
The Chicago Bears have activated quarterback Case Keenum from the non-football injury list, just one day after placing him and three other players on the list.

Cornerback Jaylon Johnson, running back Ian Wheeler, and receiver Jahdae Walker all remain on the list. To reiterate, being placed on the NFI list does not indicate a serious injury, as shown by Keenum’s quick turnaround. Hopefully, all three players will return by the end of the week.
This year will mark Keenum’s 12th season in the NFL. The former Houston Texan will look to compete for the backup role against third-year man Tyson Bagent.
And now, an aside.
In writing this article, I became aware of the dominant college football force that was Case Keenum. Keenum, who played for the Houston Cougars from 2007 to 2011, ranks 5th and 6th all-time in single-season passing yards, with 5671 in 2009 and 5631 in 2011.
Here’s Keenum cooking a 73-burger against Rice in 2011.

A little blast from the past to help fight the Sunday scaries.
Bear Down.
