The Chicago Bears improved to 4-2 after defeating the Falcons on the road in Week 6. Caleb Williams made an immediate impact in his return, leading an offense that surpassed 30 points and looked significantly better than it did during its Week 5 collapse. Now, Chicago faces a short turnaround before hosting the defending AFC champions, the New England Patriots, on Thursday night. The Patriots also enter the matchup at 4-2 and will look to build on their early-season momentum.

The Bears were without several key players on Sunday, and getting them back on the field will be challenging with such a short week. Some players who missed the Falcons game could return against New England, but their availability remains uncertain. With Thursday night’s matchup approaching, both teams released their first injury reports on Monday, offering an early indication of which players could be available. Now, the final reports are out.

Here is the Bears’ final injury report and analysis ahead of Thursday night’s prime-time showdown.

Bears Injury List Shrinking, but Missing Key Personnel

The Chicago Bears will be without running back Monangai and linebacker Sanborn against the New England Patriots, as both players missed all three practices and were ruled out. Linebacker Edwards is also unlikely to play after missing the first two practices before logging limited participation Wednesday. Listed as doubtful, Edwards’ potential absence would further weaken Chicago’s linebacker depth.

There was encouraging news elsewhere, as offensive lineman Jackson progressed to full participation Wednesday after opening the week as a nonparticipant, while Elliott also practiced fully all week. Defensive back Stevenson practiced fully for three consecutive days but remains questionable with a hip injury. His status bears watching, as Chicago could use its secondary at full strength against New England’s passing attack.
