Trent Williams played through a hamstring injury in the San Francisco 49ers wild card round victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. With the three-time All-Pro first-team offensive tackle in the mix, quarterback Brock Purdy was able to help lead the Niners to a 23-19 win. Purdy finished with 18-of-31 completed passes for 262 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, adding 24 yards on the ground.

Williams sat out the 49ers’ season finale against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 18 due to the hamstring issue. The 37-year-old continues to nurse the injury heading into Saturday’s rematch against the Seahawks in the divisional round.

The Seahawks secured a 13-3 win over the 49ers in Week 18. These two teams face off again in Seattle on Saturday. There’s much more at stake this time around, though, with the winner moving on to the conference championship against either the Los Angeles Chargers or the Chicago Bears.

Williams will play a key role for the 49ers’ offensive line against the Seahawks. He has been Purdy’s top protector all season long, and the Pro Bowl QB will need Williams to be at his best in the divisional round.

Williams, however, was a limited participant in practice on Tuesday, casting some doubt on his availability for the Seahawks game. The good news for Purdy and the 49ers is that the 12-time Pro Bowl tackle was able to practice in full on Wednesday.

The 49ers announced that Williams was upgraded to a full participant for Wednesday’s practice.

The team will have one final practice on Thursday, and Williams' status for that one will be worth monitoring. However, at this point, Williams is expected to be in the starting lineup against the Seahawks on Saturday, barring any unforeseen setbacks.

The Seahawks, the No. 1 seed in the NFC, will host Saturday’s game at Lumen Field. The primetime kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on Fox Sports.
