There was bad blood brewing between the New York Giants and Denver Broncos even before the matchup began . Superstar edge rusher Nik Bonitto called out the organization and their players, saying, "I've never seen such delusional fanbase" before doubling down with a provocative DM.
It began when fellow edge rusher Jonathon Cooper threw some shade at Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart, mostly focusing on his touchdown dances and the chains that he wears. Now, after the victory over the Giants, Cooper clarified that he was showing respect to the quarterback with his comments.
Seconds after the win, Bonitto took to social media with a now-deleted post, singling out Giants edge rushers Kayvon Thibodeaux and Abdul Carter. Needless to say, the bad blood between the two organizations didn't end with the contest.
"5 and 51 left so fast I couldn't find em after the game #Deulsional," Bonitto wrote.
Through three quarters, it looked like the Giants were going to walk away with a statement victory over the Broncos. However, quarterback Bo Nix and the offense got to work, scoring 33 points in the fourth quarter alone to secure the victory. Nix finished 27-for-50 with 279 yards and two touchdowns passing, with five carries for 48 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
Bo Nix became the first player in NFL history to have 2 passing TDs and 2 rushing TDs in a 4th quarter.

As clutch and as good as it gets. pic.twitter.com/VduWWLHn0g
While the defense didn't have 100 sacks like they normally do, the team was still able to bring down Dart four times in the contest, with Cooper having one and a half sacks. Bonitto had two total tackles and one quarterback hit in the contest. They did just enough to help the team get the victory, and with all the trash-talking leading up to the game, Cooper and Bonitto were all smiles postgame.

The buildup was intense, the talk was loud, and by the end, it was Denver that had the final word.
