Cardinals Marvin Harrison Jr.’s role in Mike LaFleur’s offense revealed for 2026

While the X receiver typically lines outside, LaFleur sees plenty of opportunities to move Harrison anywhere in the offense and see him thriving. For reference, when LaFleur was with the Los Angeles Rams last season, wide receiver Davante Adams played the same role that Harrison is labeled to play. In 14 games, Adams had 60 catches for 789 receiving yards and a league-leading 14 touchdowns.

The opportunity for Harrison to show his endzone-catching ability will be shown on full display. One of his greatest strengths through two seasons has been his redzone playmaking. Harrison constantly has found his way to scoring six in any capacity for the Cardinals. He is younger and taller than Adams and should benefit from LaFleur’s scheme to find holes in any defense.

The former fourth overall pick had a rough sophomore season, suffering from appendicitis. This offseason, he focused heavily on his health and its an ongoing process. However, Harrison doesn’t see a scenario that these injuries from 2025 will linger into the next year. Thus meaning, Harrison could see himself having a breakout year similar to Adams to cement his claim as one the most promising young wide receivers in the NFL.
