Cardinals right tackle Jonah Williams suffers knee injury in first quarter, ruled out for rest of the game

The Cardinals lost their starting right tackle in the first quarter, as Jonah Williams suffered a knee injury on their second offensive drive of their game against the Buffalo Bills. Kelvin Beachum replaced Williams at right tackle was initially ruled questionable to return. Going into the second half, the Cardinals have ruled out Williams for the rest of the game.

Williams signed a two-year, $30 million free agent deal with Arizona to be their starting right tackle. He was their biggest addition on that front, with the idea to stabilize their offensive line and improve their pass protection. With left tackle D.J. Humphries released as a cap move, 2023 top pick Paris Johnson Jr. was moved to the other side of the line.

Beachum has plenty of experience, starting 48 games between 2020 and 2022 with Arizona. When the Cardinals drafted Johnson with their top draft selection in 2023, he became the main backup at right tackle. He started two games last season.
