UPDATE: Awuzie has returned to the game at the start of the third quarter, passing concussion protocol.

Evans has been declared OUT with a right knee injury.

The Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers are going back and forth in Paul Brown Stadium. But the Bengals are the ones dealing with injuries.

For starters, Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie is being evaluated for a concussion.

In his first game back from a groin injury, Awuzie intercepted Aaron Rodgers in the first quarter. He’s had the tall task of matching up with Davante Adams, and after that turnover, Adams has been winning.

Awuzie collided with Akeem Davis-Gaither when making a tackle on Adams late in the second quarter and stayed down for a minute before walking off the field. He later went inside the locker room to go through concussion protocol.

In for Awuzie came Eli Apple, who has played for Trae Waynes and Awuzie throughout this season.

Later in the second period, Jordan Evans went down while defending a Packers kickoff return attempt. He was carted off the field, indicating a serious injury for the veteran linebacker.

Evans has been a special teams stalwart, so Markus Bailey and other reserves will have to step in and compensate for the loss.
