Alright, Bengals fans and Madden junkies alike, let’s do this. Madden 26 is out and, unsurprisingly, lives on its tradition of sparking debates, arguments, and flat-out disbelief when it comes to player ratings. Are these ratings gospel? Nope. Are they hilarious conversation material? Absolutely. And if you’re a loyal Bengals diehard, get ready to feel all the feels. Here’s my take on the key Cincinnati Bengals players and their Madden 26 ratings, with a bit of sarcasm sprinkled for flavor.

Ja’Marr Chase (99 OVR)

The Golden Child

Ja’Marr Chase. A name synonymous with torching secondaries and leaving defenders in the dust. Madden 26 has crowned him with the holy grail of ratings, a 99 overall. Well-deserved? Uh…yeah!

With 95 Speed and 97 Change of Direction, you could basically glue the ball to this guy’s hands, and no defender could do a thing about it. But let’s be real, we’ll still miss those jaw-dropping deep bombs during your buddy’s rage quits. Thanks, Ja’Marr.

Rating gem aside, one question lingers…would the 49ers’ secondary cry if they saw this in-game? Probably.

Joe Burrow (97 OVR)

“Joe Cool” Strikes Again

Joe Burrow walks into Madden 26 flexing his 97 overall, and honestly, is anyone surprised? The man is unshakable under pressure, whether it’s in a playoff huddle or EA’s questionable ratings meeting.

That said, why is his Speed only an 84? Did EA miss the tape where Burrow’s jukes made linebackers look like they were standing on banana peels? With 99 Awareness, though, they’ve at least acknowledged he’s football’s next Einstein. Add him to any Madden squad, and you’re set for a highlight reel that looks like it was edited by Steven Spielberg.

Trey Hendrickson (92 OVR)

Underrated Beast

Trey “Silent Destroyer” Hendrickson pulls off a cool 92 overall, proving you don’t need constant media hype to be a complete menace on the field. EA’s genius minds did grant him 84 Speed and 82 Strength. Not bad…if you’re his defensive lineman coach or just a fan of average hustle points.

Madden, your move on making him feel like an unstoppable beast in online play – unless, of course, your buddy is obsessed with scrambling QBs. Then good luck, I guess.

Tee Higgins (87 OVR)

WR2 Energy, WR1 Game

An 87 overall for Tee Higgins? OK, EA, what on earth made you stop him short of a 90? The man pulls off circus catches week after week. With 91 Speed and 90 Awareness, he’s the perfect yin to Chase’s yang.

But seriously, who hurt you, Madden devs? A few big games during the season, and maybe next year, poor “Rated 87” Higgins can finally see an “elite WR” title.

Logan Wilson (82 OVR)

The Field General…Kind Of

It’s time to show the linebackers some love—for real this time. Logan Wilson grabbed an 82 overall, and while that’s respectable, it somehow feels like EA forgot to watch half the regular season.

Wilson’s 86 Speed is serviceable (fine, fine, we guess), but c’mon, his game IQ and ability to hunt down tight ends deserve WAY better awareness than this nonsense. Who’s rating these positions, a fan of rival Ohio teams?

Cam Taylor-Britt (81 OVR)

Cornerstone in the Making

Cam Taylor-Britt is sitting at an 81 overall, and honestly, the guy’s been proving himself as a rising star on the Bengals’ defense. At least Madden gave him a killer 93 Speed, because he’ll need it to keep up with users spamming Tyreek Hill all game long. But despite his potential IRL, “81” screams “meh” from a Madden perspective. C’mon, EA, give credit where it’s due!

Chase Brown (81 OVR)

Sneaky Steal Potential

New face alert! Chase Brown takes the field with an 81 overall, looking every bit like a sleeper pick for your Franchise teams. His 93 Speed should make him a solid option for breakaway runs, but here’s the kicker…his 69 Strength. Sixty. Nine. This guy’s elusive but not superhero-elusive. Just keep him far away from tacklers named Aaron Donald, alright?

Verdict Time – Madden 26 Bengals Edition

Here’s the bottom line, Bengals faithful (and Madden nerds): This roster is a mix of highs, lows, and outright head-scratchers. Ja’Marr Chase and Joe Burrow? Perfection. But then we’ve got Logan Wilson and Tee Higgins, who somehow drew the short straws in the Madden ratings department.

If you’re planning to play as the Bengals in Madden 26, your offense is basically overkill (thanks, Chase and Burrow). But maybe keep some extra prayers handy when your defense attempts to stop online opponents. Until then, gear up and prove Madden’s ratings squad wrong. See you online, where we trash-talk Blitz 24/7
