Additionally, they waived LB Cam Jones and designated LB Cooper McDonald to return from injured reserve.
Fisher, 22, spent two years at James Madison before transferring to Indiana for his last two years, where he won a national championship in 2025 and made 15 starts.
The Texans used the 243rd pick in the seventh round of the 2026 draft on Fisher and he signed a four-year, $4,507,568 rookie deal. However, he was waived following Week 6.
In 2026, Fisher has appeared in three games for the Texans and recorded one tackle.
