Bengals running back Chris Evans and offensive tackle D'Ante Smith were both injured during Thursday's joint practice with the Bears.
Evans apparently suffered the injury while covering a kickoff early in practice. He went down and was carted off the field. Trainers put an air cast on him before he left the field.
Smith suffered his injury during team drills. It also appears to be serious. Both practice fields stopped what they were doing as trainers attended to Smith. They also put an air cast on him and he was carted off the field.
Hopefully neither injury is as serious as it looks or sounds. Both guys are fighting to make the Bengals' 53-man roster.
