Cowboys aren't done making moves to bolster their defense

The Dallas Cowboys went to great lengths to address their defensive concerns this offseason.

While they couldn't get their hands on Maxx Crosby, Jerry Jones' team invested heavily on that side of the field, even trading up to draft star safety Caleb Downs.

However, even with a new defensive coordinator and multiple new faces in town, they might still want to make more moves to avoid having a historically bad defense again in 2026.

According to The Athletic's Jon Machota, the Cowboys have already shown that they're determined to fix their defense. That's why he wouldn't be surprised if they still had a big splash up their sleeve.

“I am a huge actions speak louder than words person, and that absolutely applies to covering this team. And you don’t try to make a trade for Maxx Crosby and then say, ‘Nah, we’ll just run this back.’ Now, since then, after that fell through, you made a trade for Rashan Gary and you used a first-round pick on Malachi Lawrence. So I can at least say, ‘All right, they did address their interest there,’” Machota said on  105.3 The Fan.
