The Dallas Cowboys have plenty of fantastic traditions, but none might be more iconic than the team’s cheerleaders. A group currently directed by Kelli Finglass, the audition process for the 2025 squad is officially underway.

An announcement has been posted by the official DCC Instagram account, saying applications are now open. Kylie Dickinson, who has been with the Cowboys since the 2022 season, was used as the main photo. Just like everyone else, Dickinson will have to go through the tryout process, although she is a veteran.

For those wanting to become a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, applications are now open and will remain that way until May 12. In-person auditions will begin on May 24, when DCC on Tour begins in Dallas.

“A limited number of DCC Candidates will be advanced from Round 1 for an In-Person Audition during a unique segment of the DCC On Tour,” the DCC website says. “In-Person Audition candidates will get the benefit of these Texas audiences of friends and family to be their judges, as well the opportunity to make their first impression by showcasing their talents and showmanship, LIVE for Kelli Finglass and Judy Trammell.”

Four other Lone Star State cities will be a part of DCC on Tour besides Dallas. San Antonio and Austin will follow Dallas before they head out West to Midland and El Paso.

The process will go on for just over a month, bleeding into the summer. June 14 is when final auditions will take place at The Star in Frisco. Just two days later, the 2025 squad will be announced and training camp will get going.

No exact timeline was provided for when training camp comes to an end. The official DCC website just says “mid to late July” before taking some time off before the regular season begins in September.

Before too long, we will learn when the cheerleaders will take the field at AT&T Stadium for the first time this year. Wednesday, May 14, will bring the NFL schedule release. The Cowboys are set to host an interesting group of opponents, potentially having a headline-worthy season opener.

Plenty of fans who attend the game will have an interest in seeing the cheerleaders as well. Exactly who will be out there is yet to be determined and the process is officially underway after an announcement via Instagram.
