Dallas Cowboys Star Couldn't Sleep After Week 1 Loss To Eagles

The Dallas Cowboys had plenty of critics after their season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. But one player was so critical of his own performance in that game that he couldn't even sleep afterwards.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Lamb admitted that he lost sleep after his costly drops against the Eagles in that 24-20 loss. He said that he's been dwelling on it and made it clear that he feels worse about it than anyone else does.

“I wouldn’t rather nobody else but myself be in those situations. I came up short once. We’ll see the rest,” Lamb said. “Trust me, I’ve thought about it, I’ve dwelled on it. I’ve done everything that you could possibly imagine about this game. For all those that feel like they feel worse about that game than me, you’re absolutely wrong.”

Accountability

Lamb's statement on Thursday echoes the sentiment that he shared after last Thursday's loss. He took accountability for his drops last week as well, admitting that it "stings a little bit" to prepare for getting thrown the ball only to fail to catch it.

“Man, that was terrible,” Lamb said last week, via the team’s official website. “I can’t point fingers at anybody else. I take full accountability and everything else that comes with that. As a player, I’ve prayed for moments like that, and for the ball to come my way. To not come up with it, it stings a little bit.”

Lamb shouldn't be too hard on himself though. He was arguably the biggest reason that the Cowboys were able to even give the Eagles a competitive game in the first place. He was the only player to go over 100 yards from scrimmage and his 110 receiving yards were the most by either team.

That said, he only reeled in seven of the 13 passes thrown his way.

If the Cowboys want to avoid losing to the rival New York Giants this weekend, everyone needs to be on point - not just Lamb.
