Davante Adams on Former Teammate Aaron Jones

The Las Vegas Raiders are wrapping up the week by finalizing their preparation for their first prime-time Monday night football against the Green Bay Packers.

On Monday night, Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams plays against his former team for the first time in the Silver and Black. With that, Davante Adams will go head-to-head with former players and coaches. Adams spent eight seasons with the Packers organization before being traded to the Raiders in the 2022 NFL offseason.

One of the former teammates Davante Adams will see on Monday night is Packers running back Aaron Jones, with whom he spent a total of four seasons with on the Packers.

Davante Adams had the opportunity to speak to the media before the Raiders played the Packers on Monday night. He spoke on his former teammate Aaron Jones and how a special and dominant running back he is for the Packers offense.

“Yeah, he's just such a unique runner. A very explosive player and I've never seen anybody like him as far as just how vertical he plays. It's not a lot of breaking down and I think that's a pretty unconventional way of playing that position because when people are coming out of everywhere and you are running through the smoke, you can easily get hit. He’s not AJ Dillon size, so going through the hole I think people aren't ready for it. Like I said, it's just so downhill and so vertical that he doesn't really give people time to get a plan together. A very slippery player and really good vision, and when you put those together, it creates a pretty big problem."

Aaron Jones is now in his seventh season as the Packers running back. This Monday night will be the second time in Jones's career that he will go head-to-head against the Silver and Black.

The Raiders look to end an eight-game losing streak against the Packers this Monday night. The Silver and Black have not beaten the Packers since the 1987 NFL regular season.

The Silver and Black return home to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas next week to play the Green Bay Packers on Monday, Oct. 9, at 8:15 p.m. EDT/5:15 p.m. PDT.
