Denver Broncos' Nik Bonitto calls out a major NFL analyst for disrespecting one of his teammates

In 2025 the Denver Broncos could seriously have the best defense in the league, and they should have the best defensive line in the league.

They led the league in sacks last year, and as they return pretty much everyone with another season in Vance Joseph's system, they could get even better. Not to mention, guys like Nik Bonitto and others took massive steps forward last year, with Bonitto even being in the conversation for Defensive Player of the Year. He finished with 13.5 sacks and a pick-six, and it really doesn't get much better than that.

But, you could say that none of that would be possible without what the interior of the defensive line was doing. And, for Denver, the interior is where it was at, especially when you turn on the tape and see Zach Allen just eating up double teams and pressuring QBs left and right, while also being one of the best-run DTs in the league.

Allen was maybe the second-best player on the defense last year behind Pat Surtain. You could make the case for Allen or Bonitto, but for Allen, he's certainly established himself as a top 10 DT, at least. Well, not if you ask Trevor Sikkema of PFF, who left Allen off his list.

"Not serious," Bonitto tweeted, accompanied by a ton of laughing emojis, to let everyone know just how funny he thought the list was.

And he should be mad, especially when you compare what Allen did last year to some of these guys, like Cam Heyward of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Leonard Williams of the Seattle Seahawks, DeForest Buckner of the Indianapolis Colts, Derrick Brown of the Carolina Panthers, and you can really make the case for almost every other guy on the list.

Allen should undoubtedly be on the list, but if I'm the Broncos, I like that he isn't on a list like that from an analyst as big as Sikkema, because, one, this would only give Allen and the Broncos some more fuel to the fire, and when it's time for that next contract extension, you don't want to have to pay him top DT money, even though you likely will.
