Everyone made the same joke about Justin Herbert’s engagement

Most of social media was congratulatory toward the couple. That did not stop a few people from getting a few jokes in about how Herbert is getting a ring before many of his quarterback contemporaries.

Herbert, of course, has yet to win an NFL playoff game, and has turned in some extremely underwhelming performances on the occasions that he gets there. Fairly or not, it has saddled him with a reputation of a quarterback who cannot come up big in playoff games, which is why people were so eager to make ring jokes.

Presumably, Herbert will not be paying the jokes any mind. He and Beer were first linked together last August. Less than a year later, they are engaged, making this something of a whirlwind romance for the two of them.
