The Atlanta Falcons have secured one of the cornerstones of their offense for the long term, agreeing to a four-year, $141 million contract extension with star wide receiver Drake London.
According to reports, the deal includes $100 million in guaranteed money and could rise to $150 million through incentives. The extension keeps London under contract through the 2030 season and makes him one of the highest-paid receivers in the league.
The Falcons selected London with the eighth overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, and he has quickly developed into the team’s most reliable receiving threat. Across his first four NFL seasons, the 24-year-old has totaled 309 receptions for 3,961 yards and 22 touchdowns.
His breakout campaign came in 2024 when he recorded 100 catches for 1,271 yards and nine touchdowns despite inconsistent quarterback play. Although injuries limited him to 12 games in 2025, London still produced 68 receptions for 919 yards and seven scores.
The new contract reflects Atlanta’s belief that London remains a foundational piece of its offense as the franchise continues building around its young core.
London’s new average annual salary of $35.25 million ranks among the highest at the position. Only Jaxon Smith-Njigba of the Seattle Seahawks and Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals reportedly earn more on a yearly basis.
The extension also surpasses the value of London’s fifth-year option for the 2026 season, which will pay him $16.82 million.
With London’s extension complete, Atlanta may now shift its focus to other key offensive players. Running back Bijan Robinson remains a candidate for a long-term extension after emerging as one of the league’s premier dual-threat backs.
Meanwhile, tight end Kyle Pitts Sr. is currently set to play the season under the franchise tag. The Falcons have until mid-July to negotiate a long-term deal before Pitts enters the season without an extension.
The agreement with London marks one of the first major roster decisions made by Atlanta’s new football leadership group, headed by Ian Cunningham and franchise legend Matt Ryan, signaling the organization’s commitment to retaining its young offensive nucleus for years to come.
