The 28-year-old Everett former Seattle Seahawk/LA Ram recently signed with the Los Angeles Chargers on a 2-year $12 million dollar deal. I’d say that this is an absolute gem of a landing spot for Everett who now has new life in a great offense. Everett is everything that you look for in a TE with size, speed, and good hands. His 5 years of experience in the league should provide as a good testimony that he can be a reliable receiver to QB Justin Herbert.

Breakout Season for the Vet?

In all five of Gerald Everett’s seasons in the NFL his best fantasy output came last year with the Seahawks. He produced 48 catches for 478 yards including 4 touchdowns as well. He finished as the TE 22 in all formats. Could this be the breakout year for Everett as he joins a highly competitive team amongst a very contested division in the AFC West? He’ll enter the year as the starter for the Chargers, with two young TE’s behind him in Tre’ McKitty and Donald Parham.

Should I draft Gerald Everett in my drafts?

Everett is currently being drafted as the TE 22 behind names like Camereon Brate, Robert Tonyan, and David Njoku. His ADP is currently sitting in between the 13th and 14th rounds in all fantasy formats. For what you could be getting in what I believe is a Top 10 TE this year, I think Everett is well worth that stash even if you already have a TE drafted. His situation is great, and his opportunities will be there with Herbert. Everett is a main target of mine especially if I see him in those later rounds. For the price that you pay in draft capital, I’m a big fan of Gerald Everett for the 2022 Season.
