Former NFL Star Antonio Brown Arrested For Attempted Murder

Former NFL star Antonio Brown has been arrested on charges of attempted murder stemming from an incident at a celebrity event in Miami back in May. He was reportedly arrested in Dubai and was extradited back to the United States.

The arrest warrant accuses Brown of grabbing a security officer’s handgun after the event and firing it twice at a man he had a previous altercation with. The alleged victim told officers that one of the rounds grazed his neck.

Brown was taken into police custody after the incident, but was released the same night. A second-degree attempted murder charge carries 15-year maximum prison sentence.

Brown last played in the NFL in 2021 on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but spent most of his 12-year career on the Pittsburgh Steelers. He led the league in receiving yards twice and made the Pro Bowl seven times.
