Giants Get Bad Update on 2,400-Yard Wide Receiver

The New York Giants finished a forgettable season in 2025. Russell Wilson opened the year as the starting quarterback, but after an 0–3 start, the organization handed the keys to rookie Jaxson Dart in Week 4. For many, it was the "white flag" that signaled the franchise would need a serious overhaul.

The Giants finished at the bottom of the NFC East with a 4–13 record. Ownership axed Brian Daboll on Nov. 10, following an underwhelming 2–8 start and brought in former Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh after the season to reset the entire operation heading into 2026.

The overhaul is moving fast, with a revamped coaching staff and a roster transitioning toward the "Harbaugh era." But one of those roster decisions just got harder.

Wan'Dale Robinson, 25, has 2,465 career receiving yards across four seasons in New York. He had a breakout 2025 campaign, becoming the shortest player in NFL history (5-foot-8) to record a 1,000-yard receiving season, finishing with 92 receptions for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns on 140 targets.

Following a season-ending injury to No. 1 receiver Malik Nabers in Week 4, Robinson became the primary target in the Giants' offense. But now he is an unrestricted free agent.

Due to his reliability in the slot and high-volume production, the wide receiver is projected to be one of the most coveted receivers on the open market when free agency begins on March 11, with some estimates valuing his next contract at over $17 million annually. Spotrac lists Robinson's market value at $17.6 million per year.

SNY analyst Connor Hughes was blunt about New York's chances of keeping him, penning, "Robinson could be the most difficult to retain" of the Giants' free agents.

He added, "His market is expected to be strong, and the Tennessee Titans have significant interest. Tennessee needs weapons for quarterback Cam Ward, and former Giants head coach Brian Daboll is on staff there. Sources SNY spoke with believed Robinson is more likely to play elsewhere than return to New York."

With Nabers’ return for Week 1 still a question mark, the Giants don’t have a better option than Robinson. He was Dart’s most reliable target last year, and Harbaugh will need to take a quick step to keep him in New York.

Whether the front office can actually fend off high-spending suitors like the Titans remains to be seen.
