On Thursday, during the Green Bay Packers’ bye week, the team management made a significant change.
As posted by Matt Schneidman of the athletics on X, the Packers GM Brian Gutekunst made the announcement. Matt wrote, “Packers announce Dr. Michael K. Ryan as new head team physician replacing longtime head team physician Dr. Pat McKenzie, who will now have the title of senior medical advisor.”

For over 30 years, Dr. McKenzie had been the head team physician for the Packers with his expertise in sports medicine, arthroscopy, and ligament reconstruction. He was awarded with Bob Harlan Leadership award in 2022 and the Jerry ‘Hawk’ Rhea award back in 2011.
