GM: Odell Beckham Jr. can be 'incredibly productive' in Browns' system

Cleveland Browns star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. recorded 23 receptions for 319 yards and three touchdowns across seven games until his 2020 season ended on Oct. 25 when he went down to a torn ACL during a victory at the Cincinnati Bengals.

Beckham then found himself on the outside looking in as Cleveland's offense seemingly improved without him, so much so that quarterback Baker Mayfield and wideout Jarvis Landry both attempted to squash the notion that the Browns were better off without the injured Beckham.

While speaking with reporters on Wednesday, Cleveland general manager Andrew Berry seemed to indicate the 28-year-old playmaker still has a home with the organization.

"I think he’s a dynamic player who can be incredibly productive in this system," Berry said, per Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. "So, we’re looking forward to getting him back."

Both Berry and reigning NFL Coach of the Year Kevin Stefanski have insisted Beckham isn't going anywhere, and Stefanski said on Tuesday that the receiver is "doing great" rehabilitating from his injury.

Beckham likely wouldn't fetch much in a trade before September, and the Browns can afford to wait until next February or March to part ways with him should they choose. For now, it would behoove both player and club for this relationship to thrive unlike ever before next fall.
