Houston Texans Sign Andrew Beck to Two-Year Contract

The Houston Texans bolstered their offense by inking former Denver Broncos tight end and fullback Andrew Beck to a two-year, $6.25 million contract on Tuesday.

Beck's signing comes on the heels of new deals, trades, and releases by the Texans in recent days.

Beck, 26, played college football at the University of Texas in Austin for five seasons before signing with the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2019.

After being waived by the Patriots in final roster cuts, the 6-3, 255-pound Beck was claimed by the Broncos.

He made his NFL debut for Denver on Sept. 9 against the Oakland Raiders and appeared in 16 games for Denver in his first season with six starts.

Beck's first NFL touchdown occurred in a 16-15 Denver victory over Oakland in December 2019.

Following a few stints on injured reserve, he inked a one-year extension with the Broncos in March 2022, before signing with the Texans.

The addition of Beck to Houston's offense should help in many ways, considering he can play both fullback and tight end for a team in need of production at both spots

However, who will be handing the ball off to Beck -- or passing to him -- remains a mystery.
