Houston Texans Sign Former AFC Rival’s Running Back
JAMIE GERMANO / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Houston Texans signed a running back

The Houston Texans are amassing a lot of help for the offense this offseason and continued that Monday with the signing of a running back. The Texans agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $9 million for tight end Dalton Schultz. They extended left tackle Laremy Tunsil this weekend.

The Texans appear to be setting up their next quarterback to have some players to progress with next season. With the number two overall pick in the draft, the Texans are considered one of the teams who will draft a quarterback in the first round in April. They’ll have an experienced running back to hand off to this fall.

According to Adam Schefter, the Texans signed running back Devin Singletary to a one-year contract with up to $3.75 million for the 2023 season.

The former Buffalo Bills 2019 third-round pick will head into Houston after gaining 3,151 yards on the ground and 16 rushing touchdowns in his NFL career.
