The Philadelphia Eagles have not officially fired offensive coordinator Brian Johnson, however, two reports have surfaced saying that he won't be back for the 2024 season.
On Monday, Eagles veteran reporter Derrick Gunn reported that "All indications are Brian Johnson will not be returning as the Eagles' OC."
And on Tuesday, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer confirmed Gunn's initial report after speaking to multiple NFL sources.
"Brian Johnson won’t be returning to the Eagles as offensive coordinator, NFL sources said, confirming [Gunn's report]," McLane wrote on X/Twitter.

He added, "Nick Sirianni will have to replace both his OC and DC. Colts OC Jim Bob Cooter was mentioned as a possibility, but he won’t be among the top candidates, I’m being told."
The Eagles fired defensive coordinator Sean Desai on Sunday and have started to set up interviews with potential candidates, including former Washington Commanders head coach Ron Rivera and ex-Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator Mike Caldwell.
The next few weeks are going to be extra busy for Sirianni as he looks not only for a new defensive coordinator but also an offensive coordinator.
He spent last off-season doing the same thing, but this time is different. Sirianni has a lot more to prove and will enter next fall on the hot seat following a devastating and historic late-season collapse. All eyes will be on Sirianni and whoever he chooses to help him turn the Birds around and save his job in the long run.
