The Green Bay Packers are off to a hot start in 2025. On Thursday, they took down the Washington Commanders, 27-18, improving to 2-0 on the season.

Offseason superstar acquisition Micah Parsons played his part in Thursday’s victory, recording two combined tackles and a half-sack in his second game for Green Bay. The two-time All-Pro linebacker also generated a team-high eight pressures on 37 pass-rushes, per Next Gen Stats.

Parsons did all this while playing just 44 snaps against the Commanders. This follows the 29 snaps he played in his Packers debut in Sunday's 27-13 win against the Detroit Lions.

The four-time Pro Bowler spoke to reporters after the game, and Parsons made it abundantly clear that he is not at all pleased with his lack of playing time.

"I just hope I'm full go,” he responded when asked about his 80+ snap counts over the past four days. “Honestly, it's pissing me off. I tell them it does more worse than good, I get tight and stuff. Hopefully they just let me off. They can't hold a dog back forever."

For context, the Packers have been holding Parsons back due to a lingering injury he has been dealing with, even before his blockbuster trade from the Dallas Cowboys.

According to the NFL, Parsons is dealing with anL4/L5 facet joint sprain, a back injury that Green Bay has been very cautious with. Based on his statement above, however, Parsons himself believes that his limited playing time has done more harm than good.

Parsons and the Packers get nine days off before returning to action for a Week 3 road game against the Cleveland Browns. It will be very interesting to see if there will be a significant increase in Parsons’ snap count for that one, especially after his strong comments on Thursday night.
