Jacoby Brissett settles his contract dispute with Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals have settled their contract dispute with quarterback Jacoby Brissett.

Brissett and the Cardinals reached an agreement on a new one-year deal on Sunday, according to multiple reports. The new agreement will pay Brissett $15.5 million with bonuses that could rise to $21 million.

Brissett’s contract situation has been a lingering story throughout the offseason. He was only set to make $1.5 million in guaranteed money this season, with bonuses that would have raised the number above $5 million. That is still well less than the going rate for starting quarterbacks, which is why Brissett has been demanding a raise for most of the summer.

At the start of training camp, Brissett took on a limited role as the two sides continued negotiating. Ultimately, the two were able to come to terms quite quickly.

Brissett emerged as the Cardinals’ starter last season and threw for 3,366 yards with 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 2025.
