Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase will play on Saturday, despite tweaking his ankle in Cincinnati's Week 14 win over Indianapolis.
Chase has already hit the 1,000-yard mark for a third-straight season. He has 257 career catches for 3,593 yards and 29 touchdowns in 42 career games.
His former LSU teammate Justin Jefferson will also be on the field on Saturday. The Vikings star has dealt with injuries this year, but racked up 4,825 yards and 25 touchdowns in his first three NFL seasons (50 games).
Where do Chase and Jefferson rank among the top wide receivers in the NFL?
"Me and him? Probably one and two," Chase said.
Who's one?
"Me," Chase said with a laugh. "My yards after catch. I'm more of a running back threat."
He did praise Jefferson's quickness and says he always knew his former teammate would be an NFL star.
They were one of the most prolific duos in the history of college football, helping LSU finish 15-0 and win a National Championship in 2019. They were drafted to different teams and still made an instant impact.
"Hell yeah," Chase said when asked if Jefferson opened things up for him. "I did for him too. We made our jobs easier for each other."
