Jason McIntyre Made Embarrassing Mistake During Monday's 'The Herd'

Jason McIntyre Made Embarrassing Mistake During Monday's 'The Herd'

Fox Sports personality Jason McIntyre is trending on social media this week for a pretty embarrassing reason.

During this Monday's episode of "The Herd," McIntyre had Mark Schlereth on to discuss a handful of trending topics, including Justin Herbert's outlook with the Los Angeles Chargers. Despite being immensely talented, he's received a lot of backlash for his shortcomings in the playoffs.

In three career playoff games, Herbert has completed just 54.7% of his passes for 674 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions. That's not good enough for a Pro Bowl quarterback.

Well, according to McIntyre, the reason Herbert hasn't won much in the postseason is because he doesn't have enough talent around him. He suggested that his wide receiver room is filled with journeymen like Keenan Allen.

"Justin Herbert has been compared to Matthew Stafford - as a guy with a big arm, mobile, really great quarterback. He just can't get over the hump because his team lefts him down," McIntyre said. "He never had a superstar receiver. Keenan Allen was their best receiver, he's been cut by half the league."

There's just one problem with that take: Keenan Allen has never been cut in his NFL career.

Head-scratching mistake from McIntyre.

Allen started his career with the Chargers in 2013 and remained with the franchise through the 2023 season. He then had a stint with the Chicago Bears for the 2024 season before returning to the Chargers in 2025.

In 171 career games, Allen has hauled in 1,055 passes for 12,051 yards and 70 touchdowns. There's no question he's one of the best wideouts of his era.

With that being said, we're not entirely sure how McIntyre made such a notable mistake during Monday's episode of "The Herd."
